Banazan Rambling:

Banazan's most racey release to date--this could possibly be one of my favorite albums of all time. It's smart, it's sexy, and it's bilingual. Serge Gainsbourg would be proud.

Okay, this album took a LONG TIME to be released. You'll note that there are three different copyright dates on the packaging! It started out as kind of a lo-fi dancey album and turned into this spectacularly well-produced masterpiece of pop. The evolution was pretty amazing to watch from start to finish and, I don't know how the band feels, but it was one of those things that was such a relief to finally release into the wild.

I knew I wanted to do something special with the packaging, but it just took some logistics. The cover art was done by MB and a friend and I laid it out in illustrator from their scans. The CD face art was done by MB. The insert artwork of the owl was in color, but unfortunately funds did not permit it to be printed that way. CDMan pressed the CDs and Pinball Publishing did the cardboard sleeves and inserts. This was my first time working with Pinball and they were very helpful and accomodating. Every single one of those covers was hot glue gunned by me. (I would not recommend this!)

There's an x-rated version of "Bye-Bye Sky High IQ" floating around somewhere...

FYI, WNRTTROTMPR stands for "We Now Return To The Return of the Mysterious Poufs Return." A fitting title for a second relase, don't you think?
